I first met Bob Dalton, Founder of Sackcloth and Ashes when he sponsored our Socality Portland Event. Bob and I had many conversations prior to the event as he was launching his business that would be a social giveback to those in need. Sackcloth and Ashes makes beautiful blankets and when you purchase one, another is given to your local homeless shelter.
Bob was inspired with the idea when his own mother found herself homeless. It is here that he had whole new compassion for those on the street as he realized that many don’t choose to become homeless but end up there due to uncontrolled circumstances and all they need is a second chance. This cause has hit close to home for Bob and he launched his own initiative Sackcloth and Ashes.
Over the years, Sackcloth and Ashes continues to support and giveback to the community. They recently supported our Socality Vancouver Community Day which allowed over 200 people gather, connect and create together. You can read more about that here.
Check out Sackcloth and Ashes and consider purchasing one of their blankets today this Christmas season.
